Sinislosion™ is a Washington State based Video Game Studio founded by Jessie J. T. and PlagueOnline in mid 2022. Since then, our team has grown to a modest 11 very creative and devoted people who have come together to create something truely special. We are currently working on a multitude of Projects, including some Open Source initiatives such as the Raquet Game Engine. We believe that Video Games are art, and that the best works come from several minds working together to create something, rather than a single visionary making what they think will be best. As part of that, we encourage all of our team members to give ideas to projects they work on, and pitch project ideas they want to work on to us.
The name Sinislosion comes from our old mascot "Sinny" (A blue-haired dog man with a mask to conceal his horrific face), mixed with the word "explosion". Nowadays, our mascot is the ethereal Sinipup, a blue dog who likes to eat paper on wednesdays illustrated by Jessie J. T. and named by PlagueOnline.
While working on our game B-TRON, we decided we wanted to make a custom engine to limit ourselves to specific fantasy hardware requirements. This led to the creation of our Free as in free beer, and free spech game engine Raquet. The main design philosophy behind Raquet was to keep it simple, easy to use, and allow for easy modification of its source code. The base Raquet engine takes a lot of inspiration from the NES, including using palettes, a sprite format that only supports 4 colors, and some optional rendering options like integer scaling to help enhance the look of the pixel art.
B-TRON is the primary project currently being worked on by the Sinislosion team. The game is a story-based top down shooter, primarily themed around old arcade games. You play as B-3, a cyborg police unit created to hunt down rebels in the nearby area. As the story goes on, you slowly realize that your purpose isn't what your boss claims it to be. We have an estimated release date of Fall 2026, but we will take as much time as is necessary to make sure the final game is ready.
A lot of the team members just like to be more private. I can confirm their identites and such, but they just don't like to share their legal names publicly. This even includes our Co-Founder PlagueOnline. Out of respect, we tend to not push on this issue and instead embrace it as part of our studio's culture.
Sinislosion selects team members by allowing the etherial sinipup to take over my body as a vessal before heading out into the woods for 80 days, returning with a new member carried by the scruff. In all seriousness, we select and hire talent by keeping an eye out for creative individuals, and seeing if they're interested in working with us. We are currently not looking for any new members currently, but if you think you have what it takes send me an email and I'll review your work.
We're self funded entirely by myself and one other very lovely team member. Since we're made up entirely by broke college kids, we can't pay much, but we pay what we can.
Yes, but we reserve the right to ask you to knock it off at any point if you do something weird with it by our standards. Exceptions are for source code, which has it's own license most of the time (Check their github repos for that info)
B-TRON has a 2 and a half level prototype that has footage available at request. The full game is being reworked in a new engine, and is currently not ready to be shown in full.

If you have any questions for us, or just want to say hi, send an email to jessie@sinislosion.net. I usually check my emails pretty regularly, so I should be able to get back to you in a day or so. I tend to take a few days to formulate a response, so my apologies if I can't get back to you same day. You can also join our Discord server if you want to keep up to date with our projects.
